Air Buster Disposal – Parts Guide – Final Fantasy 7 Remake Wiki Guide

If you follow our Chapter 7 – A Trap Is Sprung, you’ll find 5 Shinra Keycards, each of which can be used to divert whichever combination of items you prefer.

  • Big Bomber – Diverting a BB reduces the amount of burst damage bomb attacks the Airbuster Boss will be able to do. If you make it to the disposal room, you’ll also get one bomb that does 500 damage for each one disposed of.
  • AI Programming Core – Diverting an AI Programming core will reduce the Airbuster’s use of the Fingerbeam attack, which will stun your characters for a short duration. You can see the AI Programming Cores for 500gil each if you pick them up at the disposal room.
  • M Unit – Diverting an M Unit won’t do much, if anything at all, to hinder the Air Buster. They will grant you helpful items though, like multiple Ether and Phoenix Down Tufts. However, since they don’t hinder the Airbuster, we don’t recommend disposing of these unless you desperately need items and are poor (you’ll be able to purchase items at a vending machine right before facing the Airbuster).

How to Get to the Disposal Room[edit]

Near the end of Chapter 7, a door will lock and prevent you from continuing forward. There’s a control room nearby you’ll have to go to in order to progress the story, and will require you to pull levers at the same time as Tifa.

Before leaving, turn around and interact with the other control panel in the same room. This time, you’ll need to perform the same synchronized lever manipulation as before, but four times in a row. Completing this will open a door beside you, leading to a Magic Up Materia and all the items you diverted from the Airbuster.
